From Cuban-Lebanese roots, Claudia is a native of the DMV. She frequently visited the Smithsonian Museums as a child. For her 8th birthday, she celebrated by visiting the National Gallery of Art and eating fresh pain au chocolat.

Tony Spadafora was born four blocks from Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, breathing in a love of History with the doctor’s first slap.  He went on to teach English and History, with some time in Italy, Korea, and Malaysia.

Her passion for anything related to American history is unending - just try to get her to stop talking about it once she’s gotten started.

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, spent much of his life traveling and living in numerous places such as Scotland, England, and Cambodia.

Laurel was born locally at Bethesda Naval Hospital (the same hospital where JFK’s autopsy took place, though several decades earlier than Laurel’s debut). After a few moves courtesy of the United States Navy, Laurel’s family settled in Virginia Beach.

Meg is originally from Louisville, Ky. but has called Washington DC home for over a decade now. Meg was a professional actor for many years and is a natural-born storyteller. 

Kirsten was born and grew up in Yorktown Virginia, approximately ten minutes away from the site of the last major battle of the American Revolution

Allen McCabe has lived in the DC area for over 30 years.   His love of history started with an amazing college professor (Kent State ’77) who changed the focus from memorizing facts to understanding ‘why’ something happened and telling the stories around those events.   

Shane has been fascinated with history since reading about Ancient Egypt at 6 years old. Ever a lifelong traveler, he has traveled to Europe, Africa, and Asia, living in southern China for 7 years and Cambodia for 5 months.

Laura Bruckmann is a devoted Georgetown Hoya whose career has spanned finance, education, museum management and even Zamboni driving.

Nick, who grew up in New Haven, CT, moved to D.C. for college in 2021 and never looked back. He’s adored history since he was born, traveling to presidential history sites as obscure as the William Henry Harrison museum with his family all through childhood.

James was born in Washington DC into a long line of lifelong area residents.

Pam is a Washington area native, raised in Alexandria, VA. She grew up on property that was owned by George Washington and feels very fortunate that this is where her roots are.
